Hassetts Bakery are a welcome new addition to our
list of suppliers. They’ve been in business for over
35 years and we’re confident that we’ll have a ‘sweet’
relationship for many years to come!
Founder Michael Hassett developed a passion for
baking during his time working across Europe as a
trained chef in the early 1980s. On returning to Ireland
in 1984, Michael started his own wholesale bakery
in Douglas, Cork city. Such was the demand for his
artisan bread and confectionary – made using only
the best of local ingredients – that by 1988 Michael
opened up his own shop and, seven years later, he
expanded into the nearby town of Carrigaline.
