Ingredients
∙ 1kg pork roast
∙ 2 tablespoons Vita D’Oir vegetable oil
∙ 2 teaspoons Batt’s salt & black pepper
∙ 1 teaspoon Batt’s garlic powder
∙ 1 teaspoon Batt’s onion powder
∙ 1 teaspoon Batt’s paprika
∙ 2 large onions cut into 2-inch chunks
∙ 1kg Oakland’s carrots
∙ 1kg Farrell’s baby potatoes
∙ 2 cups Simply apple juice
∙ 1 sprig fresh Batt’s rosemary (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees.
2. Set your pork roast aside and rub it with oil.
In a bowl, stir together your salt, pepper, garlic
powder, onion powder, and paprika so that
they are all combined.
3. Sprinkle this seasoning mixture onto your
oiled pork roast on an ovenproof dish.
4. Place the pork roast in the 200-degree oven
for 30 to 45 minutes. Reduce the oven
emperature to 180 degrees and continue
cooking an additional 1 hour.
5. Remove the roast from oven and place your
prepared onion chunks, carrots, and potatoes
around the meat. Pour the apple juice on
vegetables. Season vegetables with salt and
pepper. If you wish, place your rosemary
sprig on top.
6. Cook for an additional 1 to 1 1/2 hours,
or until vegetables are tender and meat
shreds easily with a fork.
