Region:
Coastal Region
Forming the core of the South African wine industry,
the Coastal Region is located in the Western Cape
and accounts for half of the vineyard area in South
Africa. Grape varieties planted across the region are
diverse. The cooler regions are home to plantings
of Sauvignon Blanc, while the warmer, inland areas
close to the mountains produce Pinotage, Chenin
Blanc, and Syrah. Pockets of vineyards also produce
Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, blending them to
create a Bordeaux-style red wine.

Tasting notes
Shiraz - The best Paarl Heights Shiraz to date, with masses
Merlot - With a deep purple, red colour and intense
flavours of dark berries, spices and plums, this is a moreish
of fruit, lots of appeal and great value. It has smoky nuances
on the nose with ripe, juicy fruit and black pepper notes on
the palate.
Merlot. It is well balanced, with soft tannins and a smooth,
long finish.
Chenin Blanc - A fresh Chenin with broad appeal, displaying
Sauvignon Blanc - Zesty and citrusy, this is a classic South
African Sauvignon. It has classic aromas of nettle and lemon
zest with a palate of more lemon, green pepper and stony
minerality.
classic apple and citrus aromas. Flavours of soft, delicate
apple on the palate are well balanced by crisp acidity.
