Calatayud
Calatayud is a DO wine region in the southwest
of Aragon, northern Spain. The climate here is
continental, with extremely hot and dry summers.
However, this effect is largely mitigated by the
elevation of Calatayud's vineyards, situated on the
south-facing slopes of the Sierra de la Virgen mountain
range. The altitude of these sites is vital to the region's
quality wines, as the increased altitude allows the
grapes to establish a better balance between residual
sugar and high potential alcohol.

Tasting notes
Garnacha - A medium intensity wine that is clean and bright
with a deep cherry colour. Young, yet complex on the nose, it is
rich and velvety smooth and has flavours of cherry, strawberry,
stone fruit and cinnamon.
